1. What editions of The Globe and Mail newspaper are available?

Advertisers can choose to reach either our complete national readership or one of 5 regions served by one of the following editions of our newspaper:

  • National – All Canadian provinces and territories
  • Metro – All of Ontario, excluding Ottawa and Ottawa Valley area
  • Central – Ontario and Quebec
  • East – Quebec and Maritimes
  • West – Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia
  • B.C. – British Columbia only

2. Can I book regional ads into the Globe Life section?

Metro and National ads only are available in Globe Life.

3. Now the Globe is a more compact format, is there any impact on supplied inserts?

The maximum size accepted for supplied inserts is 11" x 11". This is a 1 1/2" decrease in width from the previous maximun size (11" x 12 1/2").

4. Can I wrap a section of The Globe and Mail?

Yes, section wraps are available on selected sections. Please contact your sales representative to confirm options and availability.

5. How much recycled paper is used for the Globe?

At present 60% of The Globe and Mail newspapers are produced using newsprint which contains at least 40% recycled materials.

The Globe and Mail is currently working with our newsprint supplier to provide our print sites with newsprint that contains increased levels of recycled material, without jeopardizing the high quality of production that our readers and advertisers have come to expect.
