Designed to simulate the conditions at Cannes, The Globe and Mail's Young Lions competition gives winning teams the preparation they need to compete internationally in the official Young Lions competition.
More important, the Globe Young Lions competition is the only way to qualify and compete in the Cannes Young Lions competition--and it's completely free to enter!

Who Can Enter
The Globe and Mail Young Lions competition is open to advertising creatives, planners/buyers and students aged 28 or under (as of June 26, 2010).How It Works
Entrants (teams of two only) can compete in one of four categories:- Print: Teams will have 24 hours to create a print ad.
- Cyber: Teams will have 24 hours to create a web ad.
- Media: Teams will have 24 hours to develop an innovative media/contact strategy.
- Film: Teams will have 48 hours to film and edit a 30-second commercial.
Key Dates for the 2010 Globe Young Lions Competition
- Registration opens: Now open.
- Deadline for registration: March 12.
- Briefs released to entrants: March 27 at 9:00 a.m.
- Print, Cyber and Media entry deadline: March 28 at 9:00 a.m.
- Film entry deadline: March 29 at 9:00 a.m.
- Judging: April 5 through April 16.
- Winners announced: April 26.
What's up for Grabs
The winning teams from each category win a trip to Cannes and the opportunity to represent Canada in the official Cannes Young Lions competition.The Globe and Mail pays for all travel, accommodation and registration costs.
