This year's panel of judges is assembled from a pool of award-winning Canadian creatives, and is comprised of four juries: Print, Film/Cyber, Media and Young Marketers.
Print
 The Print jury and the Cyber/Film jury will be moderated by jury president Mary Maddever, VP, Editorial Director, Brunico Communications.
In her role as VP, Editorial Director with Brunico Communications, Mary oversees journalistic policy and procedures for the company’s editorial brands. She is also executive editor of Strategy magazine and its off-shoots, Brunico Communications and Stimulant.

Marie-Elaine Benoit, CD, Sid Lee, Montreal
Having been with Sid Lee since it was known as Diesel, Marie-Elaine worked her way up from graphic designer to her current role. Passionate about innovation, Marie-Elaine's design work has earned a host of awards including two Cannes Lions (gold and silver), Type Directors Club awards, Art Directors Club awards, One Show nods, and numerous Grafika prizes. A pioneer of experiential marketing, she always strives to create things that have never been done before, inspiring her team to do the same.
Marc Fortin, VP & CD, LG2, Montreal
Marc has been in the advertising industry for 17 years and has worked with agencies such as Prisme, Tam Tam, and then at Cossette where he was the creator and driving force behind a number of remarkable campaigns. Some of the recognition Marc’s work has garnered include: Coqs, Marketing Awards, Extra, New York Festival, London International Advertising Awards and Mondial de la publicité francophone. His work has been also shortlisted at the Cannes Lions Festival.
Lisa Greenberg, CD, Leo Burnett, Toronto
Lisa is one of Canada’s leading advertising and design talents, creating images that speak to contemporary audiences with emotional impact and appeal. Lisa has developed identity and branding systems, promotional materials, environmental graphics, packaging and publication designs. Lisa’s work has been recognized at Cannes, Clios, One Show, D&AD, London International, and Communication Arts among others. She is the first and only Canadian to bring home a Cannes Gold Lion for Design.
Joe Hospodarec, Founding Partner, ECD, Wax, Calgary
Before co-founding Wax, Joe was CD at TBWA\Calgary, and previously held CD roles at Brown Communications, Parallel Strategies and Trigger. Joe's work has been recognized by the One Show, Clio Awards and the London International Awards
Barbara Jacques, directeur de creation, Cossette, Montréal
With over 16 years experience under belt, in 2004, Barbara co-founded the Hero agency, which Cossette then bought 2007. Remaining with Cossette, Barbara now guides a multidisciplinary team as a Creative Director in branding and design. Barbara has won a number of awards, which include her team winning a Bronze Lion in 2009, 2 Gold Lions in 2011 as well as being awarded the famous and hard to get D&AD Pencil.
Brian Sheppard, EVP and co-ECD, Saatchi & Saatchi Canada
Over the past 19 years, Brian’s work has received gold medals at Cannes, London International, Digital Marketing, the ADDC, the CMAs and the Cassies. His work has also appeared in Shots, Communication Arts, the Webbys and the One Show. Brian has also provided expertise as a judge at competitions such as the Applied Arts, the CMAs, the New York Festivals, and Strategy’s Agency of the Year.
Cyber/Film
 Cyber/Film jury will be moderated by jury president Mary Maddever, VP, Editorial Director, Brunico Communications. She will also moderate the Print jury. See above for more information.

Pascal De Decker, VP & CD, Palm+Havas, Montreal
Pascal has some 13 years experience in advertising, beginning his career as a copywriter and working his way through the ranks to become the VP & CD with Palm+Havas. Agencies such as Cossette, DDB and TBWA have benefited from Pascal's strategic and creative thinking, as well as his unique humour and precise attention to detail.
Mike Kasprow, VP creative and co-founder, Trapeze Toronto
Mike has over 13 years experience and has been a board member of Next Media since 2001, Creative Director of Microsofts internationally recognized MS Research Design Expo for 7 years, and speaks frequently on panels, at conferences. He plays hi-lai when he can, and is working diligently to fund a sparrow rescue in his native North York.
Aaron Starkman, Partner and CD, Rethink, Toronto
Aaron Starkman has garnered more Gold awards at the Cannes Lions Festival than any other ad professional in Canada. Prior to joining Rethink in 2012, Aaron made his mark at Zig (now Crispin Porter + Bogusky) heading up the agency's creative department as its Executive Creative Director. Aaron also received personal recognition such as being named Marketing Magazine's creative person under 30 to watch in 2005. He’s won at every major award show in the world, including D&AD, the Clios, One Show and Cannes. Aaron’s work was even noticed by Ellen Degeneres, who declared one of his TV spots her 'favorite of all time.'
Dominique Trudeau, ECD, Taxi, Montreal
Dominique has worked for a number of renowned agencies over the past 25 years. He has sat on a number of juries (Cannes, The One Show, New York Festivals, and many others) and has been a special guest teacher for the next generation of advertisers at the Université de Sherbrooke. Dominique is the only creative talent from Québec to receive two Gold Lions at Cannes.
Christina Yu, Executive Creative Director, Red Urban
Before Red Urban, Christina was the VP, Creative Director at Lowe Roche, during which time the agency won Canadian Agency of the Year honours. Before that, Christina was pegged as one of Canada’s “Top 30 Under 30” and has also been named as one of Canada’s "Marketing Icons in the Making" and Canada’s "Top 100 Thought Leaders". Christina has served as a judge at Cannes, the Clios, D&AD, and Communication Arts.
Paule Bélanger, VP & CD, Lowe Roche Advertising, Montreal
Paule has been working on the creative side of advertising for more
than 17 years and thanks to her drive and talent, she rose through the ranks from
copyrighter to creative director and has contributed to award-winning campaigns. She also consulted for international agencies such as BBH London for the rollout of their global campaigns.
Media
 The Media jury will be moderated by jury president Cathy Collier, CEO, OMD Canada.
Cathy's drive for innovation and new solutions thrives at OMD, as evidenced by OMD being the most awarded agency at the 2011 Media Innovation Awards. Additionally, while under Cathy's leadership, Cossette won three gold Media Lions, four ‘Best in Show’ trophies and dominated Canada’s Media Innovation Awards year after year.

Karine Courtemanche, President, Touché!PHD
Karine was appointed president of touché!PHD in 2010. Since then, Touché!PHD has won numerous awards including the Best of Show at the 2010 Media Innovation Awards and three Gold and two Bronze awards. The agency was also a finalist at Montreux’ Festival of Media and won a Gold at the Internationalist in New York City. Karine was finalist at the 2011 STRAT Personality of the Year and has also been nominated as one of Marketing magazine’s “Top 12 under 30”.
Jim Gordon, Senior VP, Managing Director, Vizeum Canada
Jim has been part of the Vancouver Media industry for over 24 years having worked at Palmer Jarvis, Young & Rubicam and FCB/Ronalds Reynolds before spending the past 14 years managing the evolution of Vizeum into the Canadian marketplace. Jim is also an avid skier and golfer whenever he’s not coaching his 12 year old daughter’s softball team.
Sara Hill, President, M2 Universal
Sara has more than 25 years experience and currently oversees Canadian operations including business development and client relations for many of the country’s most influential advertisers. Sara is also a Director with ABC, the Broadcast Measurement Bureau, and NADbank and is a member of the Canadian Advertising Research Foundation and Broadcast Research Council.
Peter Mears, President, Mediabrands Canada
Peter was approached to head the newly-formed UM agency brand in Canada at the end of 2009, and then in 2011 assumed the additional responsibilities of Mediabrands Canada overall leadership. Mediabrands Canada includes three full-service media planning and buying agencies (UM, M2Universal and Initiative), in addition to Orion Trading and Reprise Media.
Sheri Metcalfe, VP, Co-Managing Director, Jungle Media
Sheri has over 20 years of experience, and was instrumental in launching Jungle Media just 18 months ago. This successful media only start-up continues to win industry recognition via Golds – in both Marketing Magazine’s MIA Awards as well as Strategy Magazine’s newly created ATOMiC Awards. Sheri was also recently recognized as Strategy Magazine’s 2010 Media Director of the year, and serves on the CMDC and PMB Board of Directors.
Niall Mulholland, Managing Partner, MEC Canada
Niall has been in the media business for over 25 years, and in his current role leads and mobilizes agency resources to meet the client’s business needs through strategic development and implementation. During Niall's career he's been a part of multiple MIA/Cannes award winning teams including 2011 Best in Show Media Innovation Awards.
Alexandra Panousis, President, Starcom
At Starcom since 2007, Alex is a seasoned marketer with over 18 years experience. Alex has lead marketing and media solutions for some of Canada's top advertisers and her multi-dimensional view of media comes from marketing, sales management and creative agency experience. In addition to her client and strategy roles at Starcom, Alex is also responsible for business development.
Young Marketers
The Young Marketers jury will be co-chaired by Mark Childs, VP Marketing, Campbell’s and Jacqueline O’Sullivan, Marketing Director, Microsoft.
Mark Childs
Mark has 25 years marketing and sales leadership experience and provides thought and team leadership for Campell's Canadian soup, beverage and cracker portfolio. Mark founded Campbell Company’s global LGBTQ employee network and directly influenced the Human Rights Campaign ‘Best Places to Work for LGBT Equality’ accolade. He also contributes to the Association of Canadian Advertisers board and the Advertising Standards Canada Children’s Advertising committee. He was also the 2011 inaugural AToMiC Awards Co-Chair and is passionate about the advancement of Canadian consumer diversity inclusion and hunger alleviation.
Jacqueline O'Sullivan
As Marketing Director at Microsoft Advertising, Jacqueline leads a team focused on partnering with the Canadian advertising community to help them understand the opportunities digital media provides. Jacqueline and her team evangelize digital’s value proposition by offering marketers research and consumer insights, which arms them with the market intelligence needed to make informed decisions. In the two short years that Microsoft Advertising has been active in Canada, the team has nurtured it to a position of third, behind only the UK and US markets in brand awareness among its target audience.
The Young Marketers jury includes:
Dan D'Alessandro, VP Marketing, Cheese & Dairy, Kraft Canada
Dan has held several marketing and strategic management positions both in Canada and internationally during his 28 years with Kraft. He is passionate about innovation and has been behind successful new Kraft product launches. Dan is currently serving on several boards, representing Kraft on Dairy Processors Association of Canada, the Association of Canadian Advertisers and serves as Vice Chair of Bayview Glen School.
Emily Bain, Partner, Strategic Planning Director, John St.
Emily was named one of Canada's first Directors of Strategic Planning while at Ammirati & Puris. At john st., she has created strong strategic platforms for over 50 brands as well as a values-based segmentation study that's been the foundation for much of our most effective work.
Patrick Dickinson, Senior VP Marketing, The Bay
Patrick has spent much of his career studying and practicing Retail Marketing. First on the agency side where he developed advertising campaigns for some of Canada’s largest retail companies, and later through his own Marketing Consultancy. In his current role as Senior Vice President, Marketing for The Bay,Patrick has led the marketing efforts to turnaround this 2 billion dollar, iconic, Canadian Department Store chain.
Judy John, CEO and Chief Creative Officer, Leo Burnett, Toronto
Judy began her career as a copywriter, then eventually started her own company. In 1999, Judy joined Leo Burnett as CCO and in March 2011, was promoted and added the CEO title. Under her direction, the agency has won several prestigious awards, including being the most awarded Canadian agency at the One Show, being ranked the #1 agency in Canada and #10 in the world by The Pencil Rankings. Judy has also been ranked the #1 CD in Canada in Strategy Magazine’s Creative Report Card.
Doug Potwin, Planning Director, Ogilvy & Mather, Toronto
Doug Potwin is a brand planner with over 15 years experience and has worked at some of Canada’s foremost agencies. He has applied his strategic planning skills to a variety of well-known brands over the course of his career, and the insights he’s gained has led his work to receive a number of awards both at home and abroad. In addition to his day job, Doug also teaches advertising strategy at OCAD University.
Angela Scardillo, VP Marketing, Best Buy Canada
In her role with Best Buy Canada, Angela is responsible for leading the development and execution of retail marketing strategies and marketing communications across both the Best Buy and Future Shop brands. Angela brings more than 20 years experience, having developed strategies in retail, food and beverage, energy conservation and youth marketing fields. She has published a number of articles on marketing and advertising, launched four youth publications, and developed and produced proprietary retail premiums.
