Mike joined NABS Canada as the president & C.E.O. in May 2002. This role encompasses strategic leadership, fundraising, program management and working with the volunteer board of National directors, Regional chapters and various committees on all NABS service offerings.
Prior to NABS, Mike was the Director of the Events Group of the Marketing Media Group and publisher of Marketing Magazine. His portfolio included Canada’s longest-running creative event, The Marketing Awards; plus the launch of the Media Innovation Awards and the Digital Marketing Awards.
Mike has an extensive background in sales, marketing, sponsorship and the not-for-profit sectors, including management and administrative positions with Tennis Canada, Canadian National Sportsmen’s Shows and the Ontario Gymnastic Federation, as well as (past) faculty and (current) Chair of the advisory committee in the post-diploma Business Marketing program at George Brown College.

Ken Wong is a faculty member and the
at Queen’s School of Business, where he has held both teaching and administrative positions. As a teacher, Ken has received numerous awards for his courses in strategic planning, marketing and business strategy. Most recently, he was inducted into the Canadian Marketing Hall of Legends (2006). In 1998 Ken won the Financial Post’s Leaders in Management Education award, a lifetime achievement award for his work in undergraduate, MBA, and Executive Development programs. Beyond Queen’s, he has also taught in degree programs at several other high profile universities in Canada and the U.S.
Ken is a frequent speaker and facilitator in conferences and executive development programs around the world. As a researcher, Ken has worked with the Strategic Planning Institute (Cambridge, MA) and the Conference Board of Canada. He has served as a columnist for Strategy magazine, Marketing magazine and the National Post. He has also written for the Financial Times, Canadian Grocer and the Conference Board Review.
