About the Festival
Sure, Cannes Lions takes place on the French Riviera, with its golden sands, tanned bodies and endless nights. But it isn't all schmoozing on the beach.
With seminars, workshops, film screenings, exhibitions, galas, award ceremonies and unique opportunities to pursue new business, the Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival is the world's premier showcase for advertising excellence.
The Globe and Mail is proud to be Canada's official festival representative and is dedicated to supporting every Canadian who participates--as an entrant, a judge or a delegate.

Young Lions Bring Home the Hardware Again
Andrew Livingston and Kyle Lamb of john st. earned Canada a bronze in the Young Lions Competition. This is Canada's second consecutive Lion in the film category with Chris Booth and Joel Pylypiw having brought home a silver in 2009. As this country's Cannes Lions representative, one of our responsibilities is to stage the Canadian Young Lions competition that pre-qualifies winners for the international Cannes Young Lions showdown--and covering the expenses of winners who get to go to the big show on our dime.
We're very proud of our role in nurturing young Canadian talent, and even prouder of Andrew and Kyle's achievement. Click on the image below to see their winning entry.
