A large and extremely lucrative market
According to Statistics Canada:*
- There are 2.3 million business establishments registered in Canada.
- Of those businesses, 98% have fewer than 100 employees.
- The midsized-business market (between 100 and 499 employees) in Canada represents 20,230 businesses, or 1.18% of all Canadian businesses.
- The large-enterprise market, consisting of companies with more than 500 employees, includes just 2,940 businesses, or 0.12% of the total number of businesses registered in Canada.
