How Social Media Users Engage with Marketers on Twitter

According to the latest survey done by market research firm Lab42, most users follow one to five brands on Twitter. While consumers' primary reasons for being on Twitter are not related to brand engagement, the results of the survey are positive for marketers. Twitter users responded favourably to brands’ use of “promoted tweets,” with one fifth reporting that they had received a discount or found out about a new brand. The receptiveness of Twitter users to brand promotion on the website presents opportunities for marketers to use Twitter as an effective social ad platform. Read the eMarketer article
