Plenty of news about the Hollywood writers' strike has drifted over the border, but most of us are unaffected. Sure, the strike means missing favourite shows--an inconvenience, maybe, but nothing to get excited about. The world won't come to an end if you Grey's Anatomy fans miss a few eps, and I'm surviving (so far) in a world without the Daily Show.But as Media in Canada points out, the strike has far more significant consequences for Canadian media planners who buy television. An outdoor banner the size of two British football fields holds the honour of being the first entry in a Guinness Book of World Records' new category, "banner size."The outsized billboard, situated next to Dubai airport, was created by Ad-Air, who say it will be seen by roughly 14 million people as they fly in to and out of the emirate.
